   Reverend Samuel Aaron Cain is the son of the late Deacon James H. Cain Sr. and Deaconess Bessie N. Cain of Kilmarnock, Virginia. Samuel was the fifth child born to their union. He is married to Julia Lee Hill Cain. They are the parents of three children: Aaron LaJay Cain, the late Jeremy Lee Cain and Reverend Samantha LaJoy Cain.

   Samuel was educated at Lancaster High School, Faith Bible Institute, International College of Bible Theology, Virginia University of Lynchburg, Evan Smith Leadership Program and attended Virginia Union University (Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology). Rev. Samuel Aaron Cain was licensed  (Feb.17, 2002) and ordained (May 21, 2006) to the gospel ministry at the Calvary Baptist Church in Kilmarnock, VA under Rev. Myron Sutherlin.

   He has served the church in many capacities  {Usher, Youth Director, Deacon, Sunday School teacher and Superintendent, Vacation Bible School teacher and Superintendent, Out Reach and Tape Ministries and Associate Minister}. Rev. Samuel Cain was called to Calvary Baptist Church in Kilmarnock, VA as their 23rd Pastor on October 18th, 2021. Prior to that he served as an Associate Minister at the Abiding Faith Baptist Church. Samuel has served his community in the Lancaster County Jail Ministry since 2002. He is a part of the LINK program in Lancaster County. He serves in the 2nd Chance Ministries representing Lancaster County under the Northern Neck Baptist Association and Its Commissions.

   Rev. Cain's favorite scripture is Proverbs 3: 5 - 6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
